We know premium costs are important to you, but the real cost of insurance should be measured in the service and benefits you receive when you have a loss.

The Mutual Aid Association provides prompt and fair settlement of losses. Field adjusters are assigned immediately to begin the settlement process. MAA staff work closely with the adjuster to provide expeditious and fair settlement and to give you needed emotional support at a time of loss. Furthermore, MAA seeks to settle any possible disputed claim through peaceful church arbitration rather than through the court system.

How do I report a claim?

During Regular Business Hours:

  1. Dial 1-800-255-1243
  2. You will be connected with a Mutual Aid Association staff member.

For Emergency Reporting After Hours and Weekends:

  1. Dial 1-800-255-1243
  2. Enter 40 to be connected to the Emergency Voice Mailbox.
  3. Leave your name and contact information.
  4. After completing your message, hang up. Our after-hours claim service will return your call immediately and assist you.

MAA emphasizes loss prevention, in addition to loss settlement.

How can I protect my property?

  • Never leave a candle unattended. Extinguish all candles before leaving the room or going to bed for the night.
  • Install smoke alarms on every floor of your home. Replace the batteries and test each alarm once a year.
  • Install fire extinguishers in your home and garage. Check them yearly to ensure they are fully charged.
  • Map out and practice fire escape drills in your home.
  • Have furnace installations and chimneys inspected and cleaned yearly.
  • Use a fireplace screen to prevent sparks from flying into a room and igniting flames.
  • Keep your yard, bushes, and tree limbs neat and well trimmed.
  • Shut off the main water valve when you are gone from home for the weekend or longer.
  • Do not store paint, gasoline, and other combustible liquids near space heaters, or other sources of heat, flame, or sparks.
